MDF
MDF (Medium-Density Fiberboard) is an engineered wood product created by breaking down hardwood or softwood residuals into wood fibres. These fibres are then combined with wax and a resin binder, 1 and formed into panels under high temperature and pressure.
- Density: Denser than particleboard, providing greater strength and stability.
- Uniformity: Consistent density throughout the board results in a smooth surface.
- Workability: Easy to cut, shape, and machine, making it versatile for various applications.
- Finish: Accepts paint, veneer, and laminates well.
